Lithography is a printing method used by many artists to create a series reproductions of their artwork. The method is used for printing posters of artwork, but lithographies sold at Birch Copenhagen are limited and numbered (e.g. 12/50 - meaning print. no. 12 out of a series of 50 lithographies).
Lithographies are often cheaper than unique art pieces, but a lithography is a very good way to buy art at an affordable price, and in most cases the lithography will maintain a good valuation over time.
The correct term is a cast broze sculpture, because it is an item cast from a mould made from the original piece.
Like with lithographies, it is possible to create a single cast (unique piece) or create a series of numbered casts (will be maked like lithographies above).
Oil on Canvas - most often refered to as a painting - is a method where the artist paints the artwork on canvas using either oil paint or acryllic paint.
Ink on Paper is a method where the artist make a drawing using an ink pen on paper. The Ink on Paper will always be a unique piece.
Walercolour is a method where the artist uses water based pigments. It is also known as a Aquarelle.
They will traditionally be on Paperm but could also be on e.g. Canvas, and they will always be unique.
Ceramics is a way to create art using 'poter's clay'.
Though porcelain is also ceramics, the pieces represented at Birch Copenhagen will alwys be unique pieces.
